About the PHDBA

PROMOTE

We support the City of Papillion, Papillion Community Foundation and Papillion Historical Society by promoting community events in the historical downtown area and entrepreneurship / business start-ups.

PRESERVE

We advocate for the perseverance of our historical downtown business community by recruiting and retaining main street business. We support quality of life through culture, history and arts. We work toward the common goal of a thriving economy through cooperation between local businesses, and the residential community.

CONNECT

We communicate vital information and provide an opportunity for all members to stay well-informed of matters that may affect their downtown businesses.

ENHANCE

We provide benevolent business and community programs that enhance main street economic development, regional tourism and the sense of community.

History

Papillion’s downtown began with the original 1870 plat of the town and has grown to be a vital area of over 80 small businesses and great public spaces. This is the “heartbeat” of the community.

Recognizing the critical role of main street business in America, the small business community of Papillion came together in the Spring of 2013 as the “Historical Downtown Papillion Business Association.” (HDPBA).
